9-Day Israel Journey though the Holy Land

Day 1

Depart USA for Tel Aviv, Israel. Shortly after take-off, enjoy a hot meal served on board your late-night transatlantic flight. Breakfast will be served en route.

Day 2

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative, meet your tour guide, and transfer to Netanya. Welcome greeting upon arrival at your hotel in the seaside resort of Netanya, located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

Day 3

Sleep a bit later than usual and after enjoying an abundant breakfast buffet, we depart for Caesarea, the great Roman port city and one of the largest archaeological digs in Israel, as we travel along the Mediterranean shoreline.

Day 4

Following breakfast, we begin our day with a spiritual awakening, visiting Yardenit, the Jordan River baptismal site followed by a visit up to the Golan Heights to the Peace Vista (Mitzpe Shalom), where we enjoy a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee. We proceed to Tabgha, the place where Jesus performed the miracle of feeding the multitudes. Following, we visit the Mount of Beatitudes, the hillside where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Visit Kibbutz Ginnosar where we visit the Galilee Museum and then, sail on the wondrous Sea of Galilee in a replica of a 1st century wooden boat.

Day 5

Following breakfast, we depart for Be’itt Shean, a spectacular excavation. Then, we descend to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. Next, ascend Masada by cable car to view Herod’s desert fortress and the stronghold of the Jewish revolt against the Romans in 73 AD. On to Ein Gedi National Park, site of the desert oasis where David hid from King Saul. Then, ascend to the Golden City of Jerusalem.

Day 6

After breakfast, from the Mount of Olives, enjoy the magnificent view as you overlook the City of Jerusalem, your first view of this holy city. Then we visit the Church of All Nations and meet at the Garden of Gethsemane. Our final visit for the day is at Yad Vashem, the National Memorial and Museum of the Holocaust.

Day 7

Breakfast first, then on to the Upper Room, where the disciples gathered after Jesus’ ascension. We then visit the Jewish Quarter, the re-built Jewish section of the city and then on to the Cardo. Afterwards, we visit the Kotel, the Western Wall, Judaism’s most sacred site. Then visit the Southern Wall excavations and Davidson Center, a computerized virtual model of the Second Temple. Following, to the Temple Steps, the actual steps used by Jesus and the people of His time to enter the Temple.

Day 8

After breakfast, on this, our final touring day, we begin with a visit to an Ethiopian community and learn from an Ethiopian leader about the tremendous contributions this important community has made to the State of Israel. Next, we visit the Bell Caves at Beit Guvrin for an inspiring time of praise and worship. Afterwards, we visit the Garden Tomb, considered to be the site of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. There we participate in a memorable communion service.

Day 9

Depart Israel with a lifetime of memories, spiritually-fulfilled, our visions realized, soulfully-renewed knowing that our faith has been deepened, our belief strengthened, by this, our 9-Day Israel Journey through the Holy Land.

10-Day Spiritual Journey: From the Heights of Jerusalem to the Depths of the Dead Sea, to the Tranquil Sea of Galilee Area

Day 1

Depart from USA, bound for Israel’s David Ben Gurion International Airport.

Day 2

Arrive at David Ben Gurion International Airport. Welcome to Israel! Bru’chim ha-ba’im!!!! Blessed Welcome!!!!!

Day 3

Mount Scopus / Mount of Olives / Hosanna Road / Dominus Flavit / Garden of Gethsemane / City of David / Pool of Siloam / Southern Wall Excavations and Davidson Center / Temple Steps (Southern Steps)

Depart for the Mount of Olives where we view the entire city of Jerusalem from this significant biblical site – where Jesus has promised to return. Continuing, we descend the mountain by foot on Hosanna Road, the same road that Jesus used on Palm Sunday. Following, we visit Dominus Flavit, the church commemorating the site where Jesus wept over Jerusalem (Luke 19:41). Enjoy a breathtaking view of the city. Next, we visit the Garden of Gethsemane, and the Church of All Nations, and meet in the Garden where Jesus and the disciples would often come to pray and rest.

Day 4

Neot Kedumim + Tree Planting Ceremony / YVEL / Yad Vashem / Israel Museum / Scale Model of Jerusalem / Shrine of the Book / TBN Studios overlooking the glorious city of Jerusalem at night.

After breakfast, we visit Neot Kedumim, a biblical landscape, this one-of-a-kind reserve captures the landscape of the Bible in all its depth and detail, uniting biblical text and context. Here, we experience the blessing of a special tree planting ceremony on this holy soil, becoming one with the roots of your faith and the land and people of Israel. We meet members of Israel’s Ethiopian community at Megemeria where the artisans design and create jewelry reflecting their thousands-year-old culture. Next, we travel to Yad Vashem, the national Memorial and Museum of the Holocaust.

Day 5

Western Wall (the Kotel) / Western Wall Tunnels / Jewish Quarter / Cardo / The Upper Room / Saint Peter in Gallicantu / Bethlehem

A full day is ahead of us. After breakfast, we depart for the Western Wall, The Kotel, the holiest site to the worldwide Jewish community, and embrace the opportunity for prayer. Take a moment to place your prayers in the crevices of the Western Wall. Onward to the Jewish Quarter where we explore the rebuilt Jewish section of the city and visit the Cardo. We continue to the Upper Room and have a moment for reflection in the area where the disciples gathered after the ascension of Jesus. After, we drive to Bethlehem, Jesus’ birthplace and gather at the Church of Nativity and share special time in the Shepherd’s Field.

Day 6

Pools of Bethesda / St. Anne’s Church / Via Dolorosa / Ecce Homo / Lithostrotos / Church of the Holy Sepulchre / Old City Marketplace / Garden Tomb and Gordon’s Calvary / Jericho Road (Wadi Kelt) / Qumran / Dead Sea Beach

We continue to the Pools of Bethesda and see the site where Jesus healed the lame man (John 5:1-24). After, we come to St. Anne’s Church, located just before the Via Dolorsoa. After, we walk some of the Stations of the Cross leading to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. As we proceed, we come to the Lithostrotos, and view the pavement where Pilate condemned Jesus to death. After we continue toward the Dead Sea, traveling from Jerusalem, first through the area surrounding Jericho.

Day 7

Dead Sea Beach / Massada / Ein Gedi National Park / Jordan River Valley / Be’it She’an

Next, arrive at Massada, ascending the magnificent mountain desert fortress built by King Herod via cable car. Continue to Ein Gedi, the site where David hid from King Saul. Onward through the Jordan River Valley from the Dead Sea toward Tiberias, toward the Galilee, where we know Jesus, after spending time in the Judean desert, returned to continue His ministry.

Day 8

Caesarea Philippi / Magdala / Nof Ginosar with its Ancient Boat / Sea of Galilee Private Boat Sail / Mount of Beatitudes / Capernaum / Yardenit for Baptismal Service

Depart for the site of the great confession where Peter proclaimed Jesus to be the Messiah. Following, we visit the hometown of Mary Magdalene, Magdala, a once-prosperous fishing village located along the Sea of Galilee. Next we visit the Yigal Alon Museum, at Kibbutz Nof Ginosar, where a 2,000-year-old boat from Jesus’ time is on display. Enjoy a private boat sail in a replica of a 1st century wooden boat on the Sea of Galilee.

Day 9

Nazareth, Mount Precipice / Megiddo / Mukhraka / Caesarea Maritima / Farewell Dinner along the Mediterranean Sea

Beginning with a visit to Nazareth’s Mount Precipice, site of the Rejection of Jesus. As we continue through the day, we visit the fascinating tel, an archaeological hill built one civilization on top of another. Onward to Mukhraka, Mount Carmel, the place where Elijah battled the 450 prophets of Baal. Our day continues with a visit to Caesarea Maritima where we explore the great Roman port city and one of the largest archaeological excavations in Israel.

DAY 10

Depart Ben Gurion International Airport to return home, eternally changed, with a lifetime of cherished memories, having placed The Word within the context of the land and landscape of the Land of Israel, the Holy Land, where we touched the footsteps of Jesus, walking through the footprints and legacy He left for us to inherit.
