Transportation in Israel

On our guided tours, transportation will be by means of a modern air-conditioned motorcoach.

If you are traveling independently, various modes of transportation are available. Renting a car is one of the easiest ways to travel in Israel, as distances are relatively short. Public transport in Israel is also very good and reasonable with services throughout the cities. Additionally, there are train services to most cities.

Be advised there is no public transportation from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown during Shabbat, nor is public transportation available during holidays. However, on most inner-city routes, a sherut (shared taxi service) operates during this period. These are minivans that follow major bus routes and can be hailed from anywhere along the road. Of course, taxis run 24-hours a day.
