Sample itinerary:

Days 1-2 Depart from USA and Arrive in Istanbul

  • Our representative will meet you after customs and baggage claim. Transfer to the hotel. Afternoon boat tour along the Bosphorus visiting both Asian and European shores of Istanbul. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    • Day 3 Full-Day Istanbul

  • Visit the Roman Hippodrome Square, Blue Mosque with its beautiful blue tiles, St. Sophia Church, built by Constantine the Great and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century. Topkapi Palace, the Imperial Residential Palace of the Ottoman sultans between the 16th and 19th centuries and the oldest and largest of the remaining palaces in the world. Then visit the Istanbul Archaeology Museum followed by a visit to the Grand Bazaar. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

    • Day 4 Istanbul – Troyu – Alexander Troas | Assos

  • Drive to Canakkale. Cross the Dardanelles Strait by car ferry. Proceed to Troy to see the legendary city and replica of the Wooden Horse. Then drive to Alexandria Troas founded by Alexander the Great. Paul visited here at least twice. Then drive to Assos, this Hellenistic city where Paul rejoined his companions. Dinner and overnight in Assos.

    • Day 5 Pergamum | Smyrna

  • Leave for Pergamum. Visit the Acropolis with the steepest theatre of the ancient world and the Temple of Trajan. Then visit the Red Basilica, which was an Egyptian Temple, later converted to a church in the 1st century. It is also considered as one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Continue to Izmir for dinner and overnight.

    • Day 6 Sardis | Philadelphia | Pamukkale

  • Drive to Sardis, capital of ancient Lydia where the first coin of the world was invented. See the ruins of the 1st century. Continue to Alasehir to see the 1st-century Philadelphia Church, which is another one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.

    • Day 7 Laodicea | Colossae | Aphrodisias | Kusadasi

  • Morning tour of Pamukkale, noted as an ancient spa, where pure white travertine forms frozen waterfalls. Drive to Aphrodisias, the city of the Goddess of Love; see the well-preserved stadium, the Odeon, the theatre and the agora. Continue to Kusadasi for dinner and overnight.

    • Day 8 Ephesus | Kusadasi

  • Visit the famous ancient city of Ephesus, the Ephesus Archaeological Museum, and the Basilica of St. John. Then visit the House of Virgin Mary. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.

    • Day 9 Transfer to Izmir Airport for departure

    Day 1: Depart USA / Istanbul, Turkey

    Enjoy our transatlantic flight. Dinner and breakfast are served en route along with myriad choices of entertainment on your personal television screen.

    Day 2: Arrival in Istanbul / Local flight to Izmir / Izmir / Ancient Smyrna Agora

    Arrive in Istanbul, Turkey, and immediately meet our domestic flight from Istanbul to Izmir, Turkey. Our tour guide will meet us at Izmir Airport. We will enjoy an orientation drive of Izmir and head to our hotel in Izmir. Overnight at our hotel in Izmir.

    Day 3: Izmir / Ephesus / Church of St. John / Istanbul

    Depart from Izmir to Ephesus. Drive through Izmir to view the ancient Agora of Smyrna. Full day tour of Ephesus. After late lunch, we will then visit the church of St. John. Transfer to Izmir Airport for evening flight to Istanbul. Private bus transfer to our hotel in Ist

    Day 4: Istanbul

    Full day tour of Istanbul including visits to Roman Hippodrome, Haghia Sophia, Museum of Archaeology, and the famous Grand Bazaar. Overnight at our hotel in Istanbul.

    Day 5: Istanbul / Tel Aviv

    After breakfast, visit Chora Museum, the Church of St. George, an Easter Orthodox church, and the Christian neighborhood of Fener. Private transfer to airport for our late-afternoon/early-evening flight from Istanbul to Tel Aviv. Dinner and overnight in Netanya. anbul. Overnight in Istanbul.
